MAC Dupe!

DUPES!

So, because we all just love dupes, I thought I would share this since the actual lipstick is no longer available at MAC Cosmetics.

This is a dupe for MAC's "Talk That Talk, " which was part of the Riri Hearts Collection which debuted in 2013 around the holidays.  It was a limited edition and a lot of the products sold out rather quickly.  I didn't act fast enough and missed out :(
Although I knew the collection would be kind of a big deal.

On with the program......
This is actually a dupe using all MAC products.
What I used:  MACs lip pencil in "Nightmoth & MACs lipstick "Primrose" from the Proenza Schouler Collection.  This is another one of MACs limited edition collections, so get it while it lasts!!!

Getting the look:  Using the Nightmoth lip pencil, line your lips. Then fill in your entire lip with the pencil.  Use Primrose on top and there you have it.  It is NOT matte as talk that talk is. It does seem to be buildable.  The more liner and lipstick you use the darker it will be. (My lips were a whole lot darker, but that was not the look I was going for so I blotted it some)  Primrose is a lustre so it gives you a bit of a wet, glossy look, but it is also sheer. The liner is where most of the color is coming from.

Hope you enjoyed :)

New product!

I am in LOVE with these concealers!!! They are LA Girl Pro Conceal. I first heard about them on instagram and there are tons of youtube videos about them.  Some of the youtube gurus even compare them to MAC's pro longwear.  I used MAc's pro longwear some time ago before I even knew what to do with it so I can't really compare the two.

So, the shades I purchased are toast, beautiful bronze, espresso, and chestnut.  I've only used toast and it's perfect to use under my brows and to cover any blemishes.  Its seems to match my skin tone very well. I have not tried any of the other shades yet but what I can say is all the other shades mentioned above appear to be darker than toast. Although, they do look the same in the pic above, they are significantly different.  I will be ordering a few more of the lighter shades to use for a highlight.
Also these can be used for a foundation and appear to be full coverage or "buildable." One tip about these concealers, they tend to dry fairly quickly so if you're using them under your eyes, only do one eye at a time so that you can begin blending right away. Or it WILL dry! They don't seem to be very moisturizing so I probably will not be using them as foundation but who knows it wont hurt to try it out.

I purchased these from ikatehouse for $1.99 each. The shipping was $3.95 and is fairly quick.  I ordered on a Sunday and received my package on a Thursday.

Needless to say, my final thoughts on this product is I love it and would totally recommend to a friend.

Daily Look

What I use for a quick look with a hint of color on the cheeks!
MAC’s Studio Moisture Tint
MAC’s Sheertone Shimmer Blush in “sweet as cocoa”
Maybelline’s “the falsies” mascara
I am in LOVE with this moisture tint! My skin is dry so it does moisturize. It doesn’t give you that heavy feeling which is also great b/c of the humidity where I live. It offers minimal coverage but I do believe you can build it “some”.
The blush is my daily “go to” blush.  It is great on my skin tone for a neutral look.  I AM a BROWN GIRL :)
The falsies mascara….I cannot say enough about it.  You can get it at any drugstore, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, just about anywhere. I actually purchased mine at Walgreens. It was buy one get one half off (any Maybelline product). You can actually see my lashes when I put this on whereas normally you cant. This is the ONLY mascara I’ve used so far that gives me the results I want!
